Before the panel I asked for help in my blog and got a lot comments. Thank you friends and colleagues! I believe I survived since it took me hours to get out the Palais last night. Every format creator wanted to chat and it was a lot of fun!

Nelosen uusi slogan: VIIHDE ON HYVÄKSI

Tykkään uudesta sloganistamme. Se on kantaa ottava ja tykkään olla mieltä. Se on statement. Se antaa meille ohjelmapuolen ihmisille myös selkeän mission, mikä ohjaa työtämme. Suuri tavoite tarkoittaa eri asioita eri ohjelmapaikoilla ja kohderyhmissä, mutta jokaisessa slotissaan Nelonen vastustaa tylsyyttä.

VIIHDE ON HYVÄKSI on kivasti sukua 60-luvun BBC:n sloganille, jota SVT:N Annie Wegelius eilen siteerasi täällä Cannesissa Mipformats-seminaarissa: "Making the good popular and the popular good." Näin ymmärrän myös uuden missiomme.

Nelonen's news team hits social media in a new way

Our news anchors are now active in IRC GALLERIA (Finland's largest online community for young people). I love this project and it looks like so do the people online at Irc... Especially the daily online chat with the anchors has proved popular. Also interestingly boys seem to be interested in tv news more than the girls (60% of members are male).

I'm really looking forward to crowdsourcing as this is not just a promotional tool. It is a great way to find news stories and new ways to look at the news of the day. And most users of IRC have a lot of ideas - just go and have a look at the chats :)
